Indoor Air Quality has been increasingly important with the worldwide pandemic. While your system is designed to filter and condition the indoor air, there are upgrades you may consider:

Ultraviolet (UV) Light: This upgrade is very effective in killing viruses, mold and odors that could become offensive. It works by using a special UV light source that is installed inside the air handler's coil. This will continue to protect your home for up to 2 years before the bulb will need to be replaced.

4" Filter Media with a MERV Rating of 5 or up: An air filter's Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value (MERV) rating measures the effectiveness of the filter in stopping dust and other contaminants from passing through the filter and into the air. These filters will trap dust, pollen, and pet dander more effectively than the typical 1" filter media. The home owner will notice less dust collecting on furniture as well as an increase in pure air in the home. In most cases, these filter systems will last upwards of one year.

Dehumidifying Systems: Dehumidifiers are separate from the main house system and are designed to dry areas of your home that may be sensitive to humidity, without changing the ambient temperature. Good places for dehumidifying systems are walk-in pantries, walk-in closets, art studios, or any other area that could have moisture problems.
